Celebrating Mindfulness, Celebrating Nurses!

Published: Wed, 04/29/15

Hey , It's a Nurse Blog Carnival!!
Hi -

I hope that this note finds you well, enjoying life and the many opportunities that it offers for mindful moments.

I wanted to let you know about a very cool event coming up, coordinated by by nerdy friend, Brittney Wilson, The Nerdy Nurse.

Brittney has been coordinating and organizing The Nurse Blog Carnival, a celebration of nurse bloggers on subjects like career planning, tips for new grads, and even - mindfulness; my favorite!!

On April 29th, the Nurse Blog Carnival will be discussing Mindfulness in Action at the Bedside, and the link will be here. I encourage you to visit the site and join in on the discussion; it's sure to be fun!

And on the topic of mindfulness at the bedside, and in celebration of the blog carnival, I'll be reposting an article that I wrote a while back....

Mindfulness for Nurses: Eight Minutes of Panic,  or Eight Minutes of Compassion?
Recently I was speaking to the nurses in the New Graduate Residency Program at Denver Health and we were discussing how to use mindfulness at the bedside. This group of nurses has the amazing opportunity to be part of a core of new graduates who benefit from a 12-month clinical and didactic program with the aim of helping them to become solid bedside practitioners.

That all for now folks. Enjoy your day and may all that you do to benefit others be met with immeasurable success!

Take care,
