From Jerome,, Here is How to Bounce Back from Stress…

Published: Thu, 09/17/15

Hey [name] –

I hope that this note finds you well, enjoying a stress-free day.

You know what? Life is too darn short to beat around the bush. So...

I’m turning this letter upside down and giving you the most vital information first, followed by the introduction.

I’m writing to tell you that later on today, an announcement will go out to over 400,000 nurses about a class that I’m offering to a small group of nurses on how to deal with stress and bounce back from stressful situations. This class will fill up quickly and I want you to be able to attend it.

If you want to go directly to the page that announces the offer, you can go here. Otherwise, please read this email…and then decide whether you want to go there…I think that you will! :-)

Another “end of the letter” piece of information: The value of the class is $600, but I’m offering it for…$97! Why? Check out the page, or read the rest of this email.

I recently had the chance to review the results of a huge survey, asking over 300,000 nurses what their biggest challenges were. And…?

In the order of frequency that they were reported, they were:
  • Unrealistic Job Expectations
  • Short Staffing
  • Unequal Pay Parity
  • Tight Staff-Patient Ratios
  • …and bullying.

Do any of these sound familiar to you?

The one thing that these challenges have in common is that they’re stressors; that is, they’re things that we can’t necessarily control.

When I started in nursing, learning to deal with external stressors was the worst part of my job; I would get so stressed out by circumstances that were completely out of my control.

Since then, I’ve spent hours seeking out and finally learning not only how to deal with stress, but how to lessen its impact on my well-being (resiliency).

I’ve also shared this knowledge with other nurses through my book, Minding the Bedside: Nursing from the Heart of the Awakened Mind, as well as teaching nurses how to deal with stress.

Last Spring I offered a pilot course, “NursingZen” that taught nurses how to deal with stress and recover from stressful circumstances.

I went on to teach this course to other nurses as well as to a group of school teachers and caregivers for Alzheimer’s patients. And it’s been an incredible success!

I’m back at it, but this time I’ll be adding a lot more material on how to develop resiliency so that even if you’ve become stressed, you’ll be able to bounce back more easily.

In order for you to be able to get into the class, I’d like to share the link to the info page now. Check it out, and if it makes sense to you, sign up.

Have an awesome day.

May all that you do to benefit others be met with immeasurable success!!
