Meditation For Stress Management and Resiliency

Hello

I hope that this note finds you well.

A number of you have asked me how meditation actually helps to develop resiliency and how you can use meditation to deal with stress.

Great questions!

When you think about it, meditation at its heart is a state of non-distraction. So imagine how you would experience life and your work life in particular if you weren't distracted, if you weren't feeling harried and rushed by the many things that are going on in your head and in your mind.

When we learn meditation and we learn to become less distracted, what we find is that we're able to be more present in the moment and therefore we're more aware of what's going on and because of that we're less frantic about the things that we can't control and feel more in control and more able to manage the things that we can.

To learn more about how you can use meditation to deal with stress AND become more resilient, check out the video...

Here's an article that I wrote last summer for allnurses.com in which I discuss the relation of stress to how we habitually think and how we can use meditation to change our habits. Check it out, I think you'll like it.

As always, please feel free to drop me a note if there's any way that I can support you in learning how to be resilient to stress and more mindful in life and at work.

Take care,

Jerome Stone
