So, what's up with the "YOU are the MOST important" ?
Aren't we all important? Isn't it vital that we recognize the importance of one another? Indeed.....however....
....as nurses, we can get caught up in
the negative self-talk that goes on within our mind, or in the stress of work rather than what we know to be our best self. Too often, it's easy to forget why we matter so much to those around us; to our patients, to our peers and to those we love.
Stress at work and the daily grind can wear down your attention and make it harder for you to stay focused and provide the care that you want to give. One of
the main obstacles to showing up at the bedside is a distracted mind.
Stress causes distraction, and distraction means that you're forgetting that to your patients, you are the most important person because...well, you're there to care for them and that's important.
